Our Initiative

On Monday July 26, Muscle Nation celebrated National Pyjama Day to help support The Pyjama Foundation in raising funds and awareness for children in foster care. National Pyjama Day encourages people, whether at home or in the office, to wear their favourite PJs and help raise much-needed funds for kids in foster care across Australia. Anyone can participate in National Pyjama Day! If your work team or office wants to join in celebrating, simply reach out to The Pyjama Foundation and you can host a Pyjama Day anytime throughout July, August or September.

With the support of our loyal community, together we raised $2,000 in donations. Our donation will help The Pyjama Foundation offer essential learning skills to children, fund educational resources and help provide stable, positive relationships.

Supporting the work of children's charities is a cause very close to our hearts. We are always looking for new ways we can contribute, donate and get involved with children's charities to support vital research and awareness.

About The Pyjama Foundation & how our donation is going to help

More than 48,000 children are currently in care across Australia. Launched in 2004, The Pyjama Foundation is on a mission to help every child in foster care through learning, mentoring and providing support.

The Pyjama Foundation endeavours to give all children in care the opportunity to change the direction of their lives with learning, life skills and confidence. A key concern are the statistics highlighting poor numeracy levels of children in care, and how this can entrench a lifetime of disadvantage. The Pyjama Foundation is driven to change the statistics and trajectory for these vulnerable children.

The Pyjama Foundation strives to help children in foster care meet the educational levels of their peers. They want all children in care to believe they can achieve anything they set their minds to. The Love for Learning Program focuses on providing children in foster care access to literacy and numeracy programs in an out-of-school environment. The volunteers in this program are called 'Pyjama Angels'. They are partnered with a child in foster care to not only provide love and support, but guide them to discover their love for learning.

On Friday July 23, we launched a donation option at the checkout page for our community to donate to The Pyjama Foundation. All donations will support The Pyjama Foundation to continue with their work to help children in foster care across Australia.
